Liam Plumridge was born on the 22nd August 1990 in Cambridge. He has lived all his life in the Suffolk market town of Haverhill. Liam is a highly active young person in Haverhill, and is a sixth form student at Castle Manor Business & Enterprise College. Liam suffers from dyspraxia, a condition which affects co-ordination, balance, fine motor skills, language, thought and perception. He was diagnosed when he was seven years old, and Liam will be dyspraxic throughout the rest of his life.
Liam enjoys to be involved in several aspects of life. He is a keen writer and since 2004, Liam has been a contributor for the Haverhill Echo and Haverhill Weekly News article Manorisms which is about what is going on at Castle Manor Business & Enterprise College. Liam wrote his final article in July 2007, after 2 and a half years of ressurecting and writing the column. Liam still writes though for the local papers from time to time and is one of the main contributors for the Haverhill UK Website.

Liam now though is the Press Officer for the Sudbury & District Sunday League and has his own column in the Haverhill  Echo "Plumridge on Sunday"

Liam is now a fully qualified referee, one of the biggest achievements of his life so far.

Liam's major event of his life so far is going to Ecuador to take part in the BBC 2 programme Beyond Boundaries. Beyond Boundaries is in its third series and in the third series, 16-21 year olds with disabilities were being looked for to take part in a four week expedition in the South American country of Ecuador. Liam was one of ten people chosen to take part in the expedition and Liam trekked from the Amazon Rainforest up the Andes mountains to finish at the Pacific Coast. The group were the first known group of disabled people to had done this type of expedition and led by ex SAS commando Ken Hames, they completed this rigorous trek to show that disabled people can complete the "unthinkable".

After coming back from Ecuador, Liam has been involved in several speeches, presentations and assemblies about his trip. In July, Liam hosted Haverhill's first Dyspraxia Awareness Conference, where he presented a cheque for £342 for the Dyspraxia Foundation which students and staff from Castle Manor Business & Enterprise College raised for Liam on a non uniform day prior to Liam's trip.
